It has and continues to be something that gladdens my heart to see people saved through the work of CHM India. CHM operates from our base in Andhra Pradesh state in India. Apart from spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through our work, CHM has also been instrumental in providing free medical service to many who would otherwise have had no access to such care.

My name is K. Samuel Sunil and I am 25 years old and have been a volunteer with Christ Hospital Ministry India for the past 8 years. I currently serve as the secretary of the organisation. It has been an immense privilege for me to work as a volunteer for CHM India and I am entirely grateful to Christ our Lord for enabling me to serve Him this way.

Our annual conference is often an opportunity for us to reach out to the

poor and needy through our medical camp when we provide free medical resources including medicines and appliances like tricycles for the disabled and prescription glasses for those with refractive eye problems.

To date we have been able to conduct the camp in 13 remote locations. I am very grateful for the continual support given to us by Revd Sam Ajibola, president of CHM International and for the wise counsel he has provided for us in turbulent times. My prayer is that the Lord Almighty will bless and keep him and may He

grant him knowledge, wisdom and unparalleled understanding in all his endeavours.

My name is Kelvin Ng’andwe and I am a volunteer serving as a member of the board of ChristHospital Ministry Zambia. In my role, I also serve as a teacher and help with mobilisation and evangelism.

I have been a Christian since August 1979. I was appointed a church elder in our local church in Ndola in 1994 and served as a provincial treasurer of the church for 4years and later went on to chair the regional council of elders for another 8 years.

My other privileged and notable achievements include pioneering the first-ever Ndola District ChurchesProjects Fundraising Committee in 2000 and serving as the committee chairperson until 2013. In addition, l served as the chairman of our local church?s constitutional amendment processing 2008.

To date, l serve as the chairman of the first ever Christian Brethren CopperbeltMissions Committee, an organisation l helped to pioneer along with another Christiancolleague back in 2011. After my secondary school education, l went straight into employment and worked in a tea manufacturing company following which l spent 23 years working in a cement factory.

Not one to rest on my laurels, l spent my time there to undergo various training in occupational health and safety, environment logistics, crime and fraud detection. As a result of the various training and valuable experiences, l gained, l established my own company in 2014 called Techno Fire and Safety Solution Consulting Company. The experience and expertise I acquired in this field helped me to assist a friend in setting up a logistics and transporting company in Ndola, Zambia.

I went on to serve until recently as a logistics and operations manager in the company overseeing two of its units. I am happily married to my wife Jane of 28 years and we have blessed with seven children; two boys and five girls. I feel immensely privileged to be a volunteer for CHM Zambia and I am glad that three of my daughters also now serve as volunteers too.

They all help to provide catering at CHMconferences. I believe volunteering for CHM is a great opportunity to fulfill God’s great commission and to this end, I make it a point of duty to mobilise members of my local church to be part of this noble cause. My aim and I believe that of other members of CHM Zambia, is to see the organisation expand exponentially not only in Zambia but also to other neighboring countries in that part of Africa.

Preparation involves liaising with fellow volunteers to determine availability as visits are normally conducted with a minimum of 2 volunteers and sometimes 3.

Even though visits are requested either by individuals or their families, we always take the liberty of contacting individuals and/or their families to ensure that they are still willing for us to visit. Upon arrival on the hospital ward, we inform the relevant ward staff of the purpose for our visit after which we then proceed to the clients bedside.

After formally introducing ourselves to them, we spend some valuable time finding out about them and their current situation. Following this, we ask if we can spend time praying with them, and if they agree we proceed to pray with them. I really enjoy being a volunteer especially conducting hospital visits, as this gives me the opportunity to gain useful knowledge and advice about medical conditions.

Not only am I able to implement the new-found knowledge in my personal life but I also share it with others to hopefully prevent them from developing certain medical conditions. It is quite humbling when one sees people with a variety of medical conditions as it makes one greatful for ones health.

Some of the challenges that arise include coordinating visits with fellow volunteers, travelling great distances to get to hospitals, finding the hospital or ward and also dealing with situations where family members are resistant to our visits but the patient is willing or vice versa. Whilst the situations mentioned can often be problematic they are quickly forgotten when you see people benefit from our visits and prayers.

My name is Shola Adebayo, a minister of the gospel with a passion for mission, having a divine focus for Hospital ministry, reaching out to those who are physically ill and emotionally and spiritually disturbed.

I currently minister as a CHM Nigeria delegate praying for a patient Pastor Shola Adebayo in Evergreen Christian Church of God, Lagos, Nigeria and I serve as a volunteer and National Prayer Coordinator for Christ Hospital Ministry, Nigeria a position I have been privileged to occupy since 2015.

Spotlight As my title states, I coordinate all prayer activities for CHM Nigeria and this include the monthly, quarterly and six-monthly prayer conferences. I also coordinate prayer seminars, outreach programs as well as home and hospital visits and any other prayer and fasting activities among our volunteers.

As part of my role, I coordinate the activities of our prayer squad otherwise referred to as the prayer warriors and assist in the organisation of the annual conference of CHM Nigeria. In my secular role, I serve as an associate partner of Life-Changing Group and Health First Organisation, a wellness consulting outfit that specialises in holistic health management and promotion of healthy living at a personal and corporate level.

We also organise health-related seminars in partnership with qualified medical practitioners. Because of my Christian faith, I use the opportunity afforded me by this platform to emphasise key spiritual truths about faith and how it can be applied to healing. I am a recipient of several awards of various voluntary work I offer. These include the following: – Christ Hospital Ministry (CHM) award for the recognition of outstanding selfless service and contribution to the growth of CHM in Nigeria. – Life-changing Group and Health First organisation award of excellence for outstanding performance and unwavering dedication. – Director/Principal special award in recognition of exemplary voluntary contribution to the Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria.

I am happily married with three children and I seize this opportunity to thank the following persons who provide spiritual support for me – Revd Sam Ajibola, President CHM International, Pastor Bayo Akinjiyan, Vice-chairman CHM Nigeria who also introduced me to this ministry and my spiritual parents, Overseer Akinola and Mrs Joyce Akinola, Chairperson CHM Nigeria. May The Lord bless them all abundantly.
