Christ Hospital Ministry, Nigeria annual conference was held on the 3rd of December 2016 in Ikeja, Lagos State. The theme of the conference was, ‘In times like this’ (Genesis 26:12). 

It was a time of rejoicing and offering special thanks to God for His deliverance and healing in the lives of many through the work of the ministry. The day featured a time of prayer and testimonies notable among which were that of a woman whose medical treatment was paid for by CHM Nigeria and a man with an eye problem who had a successful operation paid for by CHM. 

Among other activities of the day was a health seminar on mental health delivered by the guest speaker, Dr (Mrs) Dorcas Taiwo-Ola in which she advised on ways of guarding against mental health issues. Awards were also presented at the conference to some volunteers in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the work of CHM in Nigeria and internationally. 

Notable among these, was the CHM international president, Revd Sam Ajibola. Revd Ajibola arrived in Lagos a day earlier and immediately joined volunteers in visiting a local hospital to minister and pray for patients some of which included very ill babies. CHM Nigeria were informed last December of the plight of a set of twin girls abandoned in the hospital following delivery because of inability of their parents to pay the hospital bill. Our volunteers on learning of the case, visited the babies in the hospital hoping to help. 

Thankfully by the time they arrived, the hospital bill had been paid by non-governmental organisations (NGOs). CHM volunteers, however, donated items of food and clothing to the babies (aptly named Testimony and Destiny) and plan to keep in touch with the parents for continued support and prayer.
