3rd Annual Conference Report

Theme: Drug Addiction
1. Introduction
The Christ Hospital Ministry Sierra Leone held its 3rd Annual Conference on Saturday, 11th October 2025, at The Word Global Ministries in Freetown. The event brought together members, partners, medical professionals, and well-wishers from various regions, with an impressive attendance of over 132 participants both in person and online.
2. Conference Highlights
The conference was centered around the theme “Drug Addiction”, addressing one of the major social and health challenges affecting communities today.
The Guest of Honor was Rev. Samuel Ajibola, the President of Christ Hospital Ministry Worldwide, who delivered an inspiring address on the global vision of CHM and the need for unity in health and faith-based service.
The Keynote Speaker, Dr. Moses Momoh, gave a powerful and enlightening presentation on the causes, effects, and spiritual dimensions of drug addiction. His message emphasized the Church’s role in rehabilitation, counseling, and community awareness to combat substance abuse.
The program featured worship sessions, testimonies, and medical awareness talks, fostering a holistic environment of spiritual and physical healing.
3. Medical Outreach and Activities
The conference concluded with a free health screening session for attendees. Tests conducted included:
• Blood pressure checks
• Blood sugar level tests
• Malaria tests
Following the conference, the team paid a hospital visitation to Connaught Hospital, the largest hospital in Sierra Leone, where prayers and encouragement were offered to patients and staff.
4. Challenges Faced
Despite the success of the program, the ministry encountered some challenges:
• Shortage of medical supplies and essential drugs for participants diagnosed with malaria, high blood pressure, high sugar levels, and eye-related conditions.
• Limited medical equipment for effective screening and follow-up.
These challenges have highlighted the urgent need for greater support to enhance future medical outreaches.
